I am posting this on here because I know more people read my twitter and my facebook than this. And I want to keep one thing hidden from people until it’s finalized. But this year has been a whirlwind. A breakup, losing two great friends, one of whom’s sister died, traveling to a new state and spending part of the summer on the ocean with my new boyfriend which is still going strong after eight months. Finding out my brother’s fiance is pregnant! This year has had more ups than downs which I am so incredibly thankful for. For 2016, I hope it’ll be even better. I am starting a new school, traveling to Germany to see my brother get married and see the birth of his child, my sister turns 21, but one of the greatest things I want to accomplish in this new year is enlisting in the Army. I am half way there and just need all of my med docs to go through and for me to be cleared for duty. I have never wanted anything so badly in my life. I always wanted to be a marine but I decided that I wanted to follow the footsteps of my father, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather and become and infantry (woman). I cannot wait until the day I officially enlist and am able to go to OSUT in Georgia and begin the rest of my life. School is awesome and I will continue online classes but being in the military has always been in my nature and now that I finally have the opportunity, I am trying to take it with open arms. And even if I am not able to enlist, because there a few number of things that could disqualify me, I am just grateful for being able to climb this far in the process. Fingers crossed that this new year will be the best one yet!!
